Day 157 - Wasa Lake

Spontaneous trip to Wasa Lake today.

Wasa is about 25 minutes North East of Cranbrook.
It's a nice little lake town that looks like it would be great in the Summer.  The whole lake is surrounded by beaches.  The Kootenay's warmest lake, in BC's sunniest area, surrounded by mountains and crystal clear water!

Day 156 - Telephone?

Someone convinced Harrison that the remote control is a telephone.  He has spent all week inside trying to get a call out, unfortunately the service here is terrible!

(Wet and miserable day outside again.... waiting patiently for snow :)

Day 155 - A long good bye

After about 3 months of trying to fix the motorhome we finally had to give up and pass it on to someone who might be able to use it.  We were unable to get the motor going and just didn't have the space necessary for me to learn how to replace a motor :).  Apparently you need a shop and lift for the motor...

This was probably the best and safest solution.  However, we will never forget the good times we had rattling down the road, exploring the mountains and Harrison's first summer of camping!

Day 154 - Who wore it best?

Today the weather in the "valley" is quite nice... however the clouds have surrounded us and are blanketing the mountains with snow!

While waiting for the clouds to lift we found Harrison's monkey toque and decided to have a fashion contest...  he won.

Day 153 - Harrison graduates fire school

The powers that be were so impressed with Harrison's fire school skills (see Day 90) that they decided to hire him on the spot.  Today was his first day on the job as a real fire fighter!

Harrison is just like mom, driving the fire truck (that also doubles as a dump truck).

He was so excited to get to the fire, we could barely hold him back!

It's real hard work fighting fires, he needed to take a break for a drink.

Finally, he managed to get the fire out.

Like every true firefighter, he got supper when back at the hall fuelling up for the next call.

No more calls coming in yet... Harrison decided to hang up his jacket and lie down for a quick nap :)

Day 152 - Happy Halloween!

The big day finally here.... thankfully Harrison still fit his costume.  This year he wanted to be Dinosaur!  (Hopefully next years costume suits him as well as this years :)

We made it into Fernie so Harrison could show off his costume and watch some of the trick or treaters.  We almost managed to get away without any candy as we were not going up to anyones door.  However, a very nice old man insisted that we stay where we were as he ran inside his house and got us three full size chocolate bars!  So much for avoiding the candy.

Harrison crawled around the condo (just like a dinosaur) wrecking everything in his path!

The smartest dinosaur in all the world!

Our chubby little dinosaur could barely fit in his stroller.

T-rex managed to get loose for a bit, we found him crawling in the pumpkin patch.

Harrison's one treat from Halloween.  He loved it!

Day 151 - Good to be back!

Our 3rd 6 hour drive in 4 days ended up being the best one yet!  Harrison slept most of the way and the drive went by nice and quick.

On our way out of Wetaskiwin we stopped in Ponoka to visit Pat and Carla.  Harrison loved playing with Grandpa!

Other than lunch the highlight of our day was 2 meatball subs in Sparwood.  Pure bliss....
