Day 38 - Surveyors Lake

While in Saskatchewan Emily lost the back half of her bike.  Thankfully they fix stuff like that in Fernie.

Today was our first big adventure past Fernie.  Everything we've seen in BC has been in the Elkford/Fernie area.  Very exciting to think about all the new adventures!

After chasing goats for a bit we finally made it to Surveyors Lake in Kikonum Provincial Park.  The beach is a perfect little family spot that is very popular with the locals.  Harrison stayed cool while out in his new boat, we all enjoyed the 30+ weather and there were no mosquitos!

Very nice area.  3 separate campgrounds, lots of lakes, very close to Lake Kookanusa.  We will be back!  Next time we we will go turtle searching.  (The entire area is full of painted turtles - they even have turtle crossing signs :)
