Day 104 - Glacier fresh

Sorry it's been a while since we've posted anything.  I broke the computer and the internet.  Thankfully, we got it all fixed up today...

Today we headed out to Kikomun Creek in search for some spawning kokanee.  (The fish not the beer)  We found them underneath a bridge right before a culvert.  The kokanee, who's colour changes to red in the fall, were collecting before the culvert all attempting to swim up the creek.  Quite the impressive site!

For lunch we made our way to Lake Koocanusa for a little picnic.  Harrison was more interested in crawling around on the ground than eating.  Didn't really know what to think of the forest floor, but soon got the hang of if.

After lunch we made it to a really nice fishing spot where the Elk River meets up with Koocanusa.  Both of us caught very nice cutthroat.  Much bigger (and more exciting) than the ones we had previously been catching.  Very nice day!  Hard to believe it was snowing just a few days ago...
