Day 95 - Go Hawks!

After our impulse buy the night before we took the morning to figure out some details for the Seahawks game.  Where to park, where was a safe place to leave Vinnie, how to get there and most importantly how to help Harrison enjoy his first ever football game!

We found some Seahawks gear, a parking spot (in a nice cool garage for Vinnie's sake) and train to the game.  The tickets we bought were standing room only, so we had the option to put Harrison into his stroller.

It was pure coincidence that the Seahawks were playing this night in the first game of the NFL season against the Green Bay Packers.  The team was going to be celebrating their SuperBowl win the year before, the stadium is know for how loud it can get and the infamous 12th man - the Seahawks fans.  Needless to say it was an opportunity we couldn't pass up.  The game was amazing, an experience we will never forget.

We are now officially a "Seahawks family".

The Seahawks play at Century Link field, which is right next to Safeco (where the Mariners play) and is on the waterfront downtown.

We bought Harrison a toque to match his sleeper and some earplugs.

Harrison's view from our seats.

The view from our "seats" were surprisingly good.  It was hard not to be excited looking out over all the people and the field.

Almost 69,000 in attendance.

All dressed up in our Seahawks gear.

The crowd was very loud for the unveiling of the championship banner.

The noise became deafening as the ceremony went on.

It was a good thing that Harrison had ear plugs!

The team coming on to the field.

Shortly after kickoff.

Harrison slept for the rest of the game and through the train ride all the way to the truck.

Supper was a foot long hot dog topped with onions, macaroni, cheese and blue green tortilla chips.

The crowd went wild every third down for the Packers making it very hard for them to hear.

Everyone celebrated all night long as the Seahawks dominated the Packers!

View of downtown Seattle on our way out of the stadium after the game.  Beautiful end of an amazing day!
