Day 4 - Boivin Creek Trail

Today I cleaned poop off the wall.
Oh the joys of parenthood.

I actually enjoyed getting up last night at 3:30am to give Harrison a bottle.  Emily enjoyed telling me it was my turn.  It's nice to be able to help out more and not have to worry about work...

Today we took the morning to take care of some business.  (A couple of phone calls after lattes on the couch)  After business, we booked a campsite for our first camping trip in Fernie next week.  Can't wait to get the new (old) RV back on the road.

Our adventure today took us to Boivin Creek Trail in Elkford.
This is the second time we've been down this trail.  Back in March of 2013 Emily and I took the trail on our cross-country ski's.  That trip ended with some ski's that wouldn't slide, Emily walking the last half of the trip, a broken pole and a downhill adventure.  Fun was had by all.  About 5km up the trail there is a cabin (hut).  When we finished the trail that day we promised to make it back to the cabin sometime again.

Today's trip began with testing our new Bear Bangers.
Emily got to refine her firefighting skills as she accidentally shot a flare directly into the bush and almost started a fire.  The bear banger was very loud and must have worked as we did not see one bear today.

It was a very nice hike, although the creek was very high and water washed out parts of the trail. We were able to get back up to the cabin.  Reward - breast milk for Harrison and Nibs for the rest of us.

Harrison is starting to look a lot like some of his great uncles!
