Camping pancakes are best.
Nice relaxing morning ending with a competitive game of
cribbage. Took the afternoon to check out the trails in the area. Lots of great
mountain biking trails. Not exactly chariot accessible L. We took a walk and came
across some very nice flora and fauna (their words, not ours). Found Harrison a
place to spend the night haha.
We then took a very scenic drive up to Island Lake Lodge. As
we got closer to the mountain peaks we reached the snow again and caught a
glimpse of the ancient Fur trees (so big you cannot hug). Arrived at the lodge,
excited for a hike, unfortunately the Lodge isn’t open for the season. The
gates at the bottom of the road will be locked in 15 min and we need to vacate
the premise! BOOO! Disappointed but still managed to get one picture of the
peaks as they chased us down the mountain. Island Lake Lodge we will return!!
