Day 60 - Grotto Canyon

We ventured off to the Grotto Canyon today for a short hike.  Tried to get away early... left shortly after noon.  Was supposed to be a short hike, ended up being about 4 hours.

The hike was very interesting.  It followed a long canyon, passing some very old pictographs left by ancient tribes then finally up to a small waterfall.  After the waterfall you can continue to see some Hoodoo's and a small cave.  Made for a very nice hike!

Dad enjoyed carrying Harrison up to the waterfalls.  So much fun, he even tried rock climbing with the pack on!

Emily with her bear bashing stick... should have kept it with us as we ran into a bear later in the night on a jog in the campsite.

Hoodoo in the "back country" with a cave... none of us were brave enough to climb up and see inside.

Harrison loved the hike!
