Day 66 - Today we go north

Today we headed north to Elk Lakes Provincial Park.

After a beautiful 70 km drive to the park we made it out for a hike to the lower Elk Lake.  Unfortunately the trail was washed out this spring so we were unable to make it to the upper lake and Petain Falls.  Although the hike was cut short, we were still able to see some very nice scenery!

After the hiking was done we backed up the trucks to the river and had a little tail gate party.  Beer, hot dogs and a view.  What more could we ask for?  After lunch we tried our luck out at fishing the river.  Caught a nice little cut throat (trout).  Very exciting.
