Day 69 - Marie Adele Best

Sad day today.  Today was the funeral for Harrison's Great Great Aunt Marie.  He never met her, but she still managed to make a difference in his life.

The other day we were sitting around the table with Grandma and Grandpa M talking about everyone that will be making it to Aunt Marie's funeral and how many quilts will be there.  Aunt Marie made a quilt for every baby in the family... we have a very large family and there have been a lot of babies.  I have one, my brother Chris has one and below is a picture of Harrison in his quilt from Aunt Marie.

It is unbelievable to think about all the quilts that Aunt Marie made.  What she was willing to do for family and all the lives she affected.

Unfortunately, we were unable to make it to the funeral.  Fortunately, we have the quilts to remember the importance of family and Aunt Marie.  We cant wait to explain to Harrison what that quilt really means to him.
